Our courses target front line employees, supervisors and management personnel and focus on providing each of these groups with the knowledge that they need in today's competitive business environment. We offer evening classes and seminars throughout the year and can also provide in-house training at your workplace. The class reviews basic training techniques and the four 'must' rules of effective training. It provides common sense suggestions for using a variety of presentation media and helpful hints on room set-up. The question of why and how different people learn is examined. The APICS Train the Trainer workshop was created to teach training skills to anyone who will be teaching others. It provides a successful and workable methodology that can be applied to any training situation. The confidence and technical ability gained from TTT will lend authority to presentations at work and in all of your activities. Fundamentals of Material and Operations Management Program – offers an exciting classroom-based, instructor-led educational opportunity for people new to materials and operations management or people working in positions that interact with this field. The five module format of the Fundamentals course teaches basic concepts, techniques, and terminology of materials and operations management. These modules consist of: ″ Fundamentals of Inventory Control For professionals aspiring to APICS certification in the CPIM program, the Fundamentals program establishes a solid entry-level base of knowledge upon which to build. Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) Program - CPIM is a comprehensive educational program consisting of five modules that provide manufacturing professionals with essential terminology, concepts, and strategies related to demand management, procurement and supplier planning, material requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, sales and operations planning, master scheduling, performance measurements, supplier relationships, quality control, and continuous improvement. Since 1973, the CPIM program has educated more than 75,000 manufacturing professionals. Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) – CSCP is the newest of the APICS certification programs. Building on the depth of the CPIM which focuses primarily on an organization's internal processes, the CSCP certification program will take a broader view to encompass all of the steps throughout the supply chain from suppliers through the company to the end consumer and how to effectively manage the integration of these activities to maximize a company's value chain. Lean Manufacturing – Lean manufacturing describes the philosophy of reducing the total amount of resources (time, manpower and inventory) that are required to manufacture products. It focuses on the reduction of waste, which is any non-value adding activity during the design, manufacture or sale of a product. The goal of lean manufacturing is to reduce costs, improve flexibility and simplify the production process. The benefits to a company practicing Lean Manufacturing can be significant. APICS has introduced 3 exciting new Lean Manufacturing courses to provide your employees with the skills that they will need to successfully implement lean manufacturing in your company.
